Sutlage

Sweet and festive rice pudding topped with cinnamon, delicious served either room-temperature or cold, eaten along with savory borkitas (a Turkish flaky pastry).

Ingredients:

  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 level Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 level Tbsp. ground rice
  • Ground cinnamon for sprinkling

Preparation:

  1. Cook milk, sugar, and ground rice over low heat while stirring with a handheld whisk to prevent rice from sticking together, until mixture is slightly thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and pour into individual serving dishes, sprinkle cinnamon and serve.
